Livelihood & Food Security Program

Community livelihoods have been shattered during the conflict with increased poverty levels as a result of lack of access to socioeconomic activities. Rebuilding this sector requires commitment and financial resource for communities to acquire skills, tools and seeds needed to revamp their livelihoods. HPH in its program among others has the following activities;

  • Capacity building and training programmes for the vulnerable on agricultural production (food security), Income Generating Activities (IGAs) for economic empowerment.
  • Provision of agricultural tools and seeds to most marginalized persons such as women, OVCs, EVIs, PHAs persons with disability etc.
  • Conducting market research and creating market linkages and price negotiations for beneficiary products
  • Supportive counselling, (clients), guidance and counselling (OVCs).
  • Advocacy on culturally acceptable norms on Human rights and SGBV and PLWHAs.
  • Provision of trainings in farming as a business and Start and improve your business (SIYB) programmes
